she collects bottled enamel
of various colors to
paint her elongated nails
just to hide them when
they turn bluish-gray
when the weather is really
unfair with her.
She has a make up kit
full of lipsticks and lipgloss
of different shades of
red and rouge just
to mask her ever-paling
mouth and to keep them from chafing.
She carries a huge bag
full of paint for her face,
her canvass of emotions
and feeling only
a woman can
fathom.
